Speaking will be the Placer County Cold Case Foundation.


Their mission is to support families and keep Placer County cold cases alive until they are solved.

In partnership with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, the Placer County Cold Case Foundation is committed to bringing hope and healing to families who live with the uncertainty of a missing or murdered loved one.

Lieutenant Tyler Neher
Board President

Tyler Neher is a long-time Placer County resident who has dedicated his career to public safety and criminal justice. Since entering law enforcement in 2011, he has served in a variety of roles, including patrol deputy, property crimes detective, corrections, SWAT, and now as a Lieutenant overseeing the Investigations Division. Lieutenant Neher holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Management and continues to advance his knowledge and leadership within the field. Lieutenant Neher is deeply passionate about investigative work, with a particular focus on solving cold cases. He is committed to bringing justice to victims and their families while strengthening trust and safety across the Placer County community.
