Join the Ignite Young Professionals for a tour of the Western Placer Waste Management Authority's brand new, high-diversion Materials Recovery Facility, where all 2 million pounds of Western Placer’s waste is sorted every day. Get a behind-the-scenes look and watch exactly how waste is sorted to recover valuable recyclable AND compostable materials in Placer County. Learn how the WPWMA is harnessing the resource of Western Placer County’s waste through economic development, meeting regulatory demands, and the innovation of the “One Big Bin.” 


All attendees taking the tour must wear closed-toe shoes and full-length pants to participate.
