About
About Sharon Brown Sharon started Bright Beginnings Welcoming Service in 1994 after moving to Rocklin from Southern California. Her first priority was to join the Roseville and Rocklin Chambers of Commerce. This was her first business endeavor, as her early career had been retail management positions. She was determined to make a difference by assisting new move-ins to acclimate in their new location. This was something she could readily identify with, as she had made numerous moves herself as her father was in the USAF for 29 years.
Bright Beginnings was awarded the 2003 Home Based Business of the Year by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and in 2004 was named Rocklin's Business of the Year. Sharon believes in being involved in community volunteerism and has been named Roseville's Volunteer of the Year twice. She was awarded both Rocklin and Rosevile's Ambassador of the Year. Sharon is the recipient of the prestigious 2003 International Athena Award. Sharon was awarded the Edward M Friedman Community Service Award in January 2011. Most recently she was honored with the President's Award in Roseville.
She has served on the following Boards: Roseville & Rocklin Chambers, Roseville Arts!, Sierra College Foundation, and Placer SPCA. She has served as a Roseville Ambassador for 26 years.
