Make-A-Wish is a non-profit that grants the heartfelt wishes of children facing critical illness. These wishes are far more than a trip to Disneyland or a shopping spree. They are vital moments of joy and relief for children going through some of the hardest times in their young lives. Since its founding in 1983, this chapter has granted over 10,000 wishes. In addition to Roseville, this chapter serves 28 counties in California, which makes it the largest chapter in the state by geographic region. This chapter is an affiliate of Make-A-Wish America based in Arizona where this global movement started after a young boy battling leukemia named Chris Greicius wished to be a police officer. Chris left a legacy that continues to guide this work and touch lives in such a magical way.
