RRUFF is inviting mission-driven leaders to join our Board of Directors and help support the mental health of veterans and first responders through life-changing service dog training.
Our board recently transitioned from a working board to a governance-focused board, with members playing a vital role in strategic leadership, fundraising, and community visibility.
Term & Commitment
Two-year term, renewable
Board meets every other month, in person, in Rocklin
Members serve on at least one committee: Finance, Fundraising, Executive, or Governance
Event support is required a few times per year
Role & Responsibilities
Provide strategic and fiduciary oversight to ensure organizational health and sustainability
Actively support fundraising through giving, outreach, sponsorships, and donor engagement
Serve as ambassadors by increasing brand awareness and leveraging personal and professional networks
Support and attend key events where our mission comes to life
Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to advance RRUFF’s mission
Who We’re Looking For
Individuals with a genuine heart for veterans, first responders, mental health, and service dogs
People who are engaged, well-connected, and excited to help RRUFF grow
Experience in fundraising, marketing, finance, law, nonprofit leadership, or community engagement is helpful—but passion and follow-through matter most
Serving on the RRUFF Board is an opportunity to stand behind those who serve, and help build a future rooted in healing, connection, and impact.
